Gratitude
We have deep gratitude for the millions of customers we have served, the thousands of employees who have worked with us, the Village of Thiensville that helped us at inception, and, of course, Lynn, who envisioned her café on this site and brought Fiddleheads to life 12.17.1996.
Jessie Meyer
Jesse Meyer grew up in Waupun, Wisconsin and now lives in Milwaukee. Shortly after attending the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design “MIAD” at the age of 22 he co-founded a design-build company called Flux Design. His company focused on interior elements of various kinds and incorporated their unique sculptural esthetics into all their work. Jesse said, “I taught myself how to work with many materials, but have grown particularly fond of metal”. Jesse added ."As a full-time artist, having a chance to work with a quality community based business that I have often patronized, I was interested. Then I heard the backstory of how the company formed, grown, evolved and they had an interest in supporting the arts I knew it would be wonderful opportunity.
Original Etchings
Like these intricate etchings that hold layers of beauty, Fiddleheads embodies layers of complexity and depth. In each café and with each art piece, like each etched line, a new detail is revealed inviting you to explore and appreciate the artistry of the cafés seen as a point in time. Just as these etchings unveil hidden beauty, so too does Fiddleheads, offering richness and nuance in every experience.
Todd Mrozinski
In 1997, Mrozinski graduated from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), earning the esteemed Fredrick Layton Scholarship. He also participated in The New York Studio Program. Serving as the Pfister Artist-in-Residence during 2015-2016, Mrozinski showcases his artwork at the Portrait Society Gallery in Milwaukee, WI. Additionally, he has contributed as an art writer for Urban Milwaukee and Artdose Magazine, mentors for MARN, and instructs etching, drawing, and painting at MIAD. Together with his wife, Renee Bebeau, they operate a studio located in The Nut Factory, Milwaukee, WI.

Thiensville | Tuscany
Paying homage to the 15th-century paintings featuring cafés from around the globe, Jess aimed to capture the European feel of traditional café life in the modern setting of our Garden Room, mimicking fine coffees, beautiful scones, and banter that abounds. Our attempt has always been to create a space where visitors worldwide feel a touch of home when they visit any of our cafés – and should you visit Tuscany, you might find it familiar, too.
Jess Gruber
Jessica Gruber grew up on the shores of Lake Michigan in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Her childhood, nature, and the people closest to her heart continue to inspire her artistry now as an oil, acrylic and watercolor painter with styles ranging from photo realism to expressionism. Her passion for art and its impact on young people has defined Jessica’s career as an elementary school teacher over the last 20 years. She frequently integrates artistry into her curriculum and now dreams of exploring new opportunities to help more children develop a creative voice and their own art space. Jessica holds bachelor’s of arts degrees in Fine art and Elementary Education from Lakeland University, and currently resides in Port Washington, Wisconsin.
