Description
This organically grown Honduran coffee is truly one-of-a-kind. It’s grown on a single farm – Finca Liquidámbar – by owner Roberto Rene González and his family. Roberto is also the general manager of a coffee farm cooperative called RAOS (Cooperativa Regional de Agricultores Orgánicos de la Sierra). As the first member of his family to earn a university degree, Roberto manages his own farm and the RAOS cooperative with the intent of getting some of that land recognized by the Honduran government as a biological reserve, creating a tourism destination in his community of Guascotoro. Finca Liquidámbar provides jobs for community members and contributes to local initiatives like road improvements and youth activities.
We were blown away by the complexity of this coffee, so we roasted it on the lighter side to highlight that uniqueness. A medium body and balanced brightness end in a clean, delicate finish, with intriguing notes of white lavender and peach. Its honeyed and floral aromatics set it apart and every sip brings forward its sweet and buttery nature. It’s difficult to describe how truly special Honduras Liquid Amber is – you’ll just have to try it for yourself.
